Reading the hunger games books once again. Anyone else obsessed with it? (reading the 3rd book now. I'm really fast hee) I just want to refresh my memory before the movie comes out.  I started crying almost from the beginning. It’s crazy. I’ve never anticipated for a movie this much before in my life…I hope it won't dissapoint me and I really believe it won't. The previews, the cast and everything look very promising. I enjoy the romance in the story but I'm mostly interested in the political and societal issues in the books. And I hope the movies will focus on that, too.

Favorite quote from mockingjay (3rd book of thg):We‘re fickle, stupid beings with poor memories and a great gift for self-destruction.

I'm obsessed with Hunger Games! I'm gonna read the first one again before the movie comes out too. I was so afraid that they would ruin this book and ruin Katniss but from everything I've seen, it looks like it could be amazing. I hope so.

yay so glad I have a friend here who shares my love for the hunger games. I was going to read only the 1st book before the movie comes out but once again I couldn't stop and I continued reading the other two, too.

yay! That will probably happen to me as well! I get so excited over these books. I will admit I love her and Peeta. I have too many feelings! But I love Katniss. She is such a strong woman figure in a book, which is amazing considering how often girls are written as such weak creatures in books! When Jennifer Lawrence was first cast, I really couldnt picture it. But now that I've seen bits and pieces of her as Katniss, I'm excited to see it!
btw I love your icon.

Awww That gif! That line!
I remember when I read it the first time and I just burst into tears.

She is such a strong woman figure in a book, which is amazing considering how often girls are written as such weak creatures in books!
My thoughts exactly!
For some reason, when I saw Jennifer with brown hair I thought "She is katniss 100%". She looks very different as blonde.

Peeta is my favorite character.I've never liked a character as much as I like him. The boy with the bread stole my heart.

yes! when I saw her she was like a blonde haired hottie and I was like THATS NOT KATNISS. But now I totally see it.
The last book had me crying/so upset so often over Peeta and how he was brainwashed. I really thought OH GOD NO they will never be okay and they NEED eachother. and then of course they were. :)But it was hearbreaking.

I really thought OH GOD NO they will never be okay and they NEED eachother.

Exactly! I love the part where she explains why she needs Peeta.
“What I need to survive is not Gale’s fire kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.”

We all need something/someone to give us hope, especially the ones who tend to think the worst of people. Like I always do, lately.

Yes, I love that! I really love that although she is so strong and can really kick ass, she can also be vulnerable and need someone. I never liked gale for her. I always though they were too alike. I feel like I have to go read them again right now!

ha you just can't resist.
I just finished my first video of the hunger games if you would like to take a look. I'll probably make more when the movie is out. This one has only clips from the trailer.

I just watched it. I got the chills! It was good, it made me want to go see the movie right now!

Glad you liked it. :)
I'm going to watch the movie on 26th of March with a bunch of friends and my 2 sisters. I lend them the books and they've become as obsessed as I am. hee

I'm going with my husband, his two friends and his mother. I can proudly say I got them ALL into the books! Its exciting.

Ohh, I'm very excited also about seeing the movie.

I don't know if you saw my post last year about 'hating' the premise of the movie (before I read the books), and was very skeptical about it.

But my mind has changed. I read the first book (not intending to read the last two until after I see the movie), but I probably will read them.

Haven't read too many spoilers about the last two books, but as I said, I don't want to be spoiled, but it's unavoidable, especially on Tumblr!

Aw it's really bad to be spoiled about what happens next. I don't mind reading spoilers for tvshows I like but books? No. It'll ruin it for me.

I just read this series over a weekend in January. It was damn impressive. I get to see so few movies though, so I don't think I'll be seeing it anytime soon. I have the books on my Kindle Fire, though, so I can reread whenever I want.

I read all three books in three days. I think it was last summer. I love everything about them, especially the political issues and the characters. The movie will come out on 23rd this month. It's getting close. I love going to the cinema and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I just hope it'll be satisfying. You should watch it when you get the chance. :)
